Greg Alkalay is the Co-Founder and CEO of batteryPOP, an award winning digital video network and marketing solution exclusively for kids. A veteran of the children’s media space, Greg launched batteryPOP after 12 years as head writer and senior on-air promotions producer at Nickelodeon, crafting content for today’s rapidly evolving 4-11 year old audience. Most importantly, Greg is the still-cool father of two kids of his own, Harper (10) and Dylan (7).


Leah Rifkin is the award-winning author of the book Beyond The Director’s Chair. She was a finalist for the Netflix-Banff Diversity of Voices Initiative in 2019 and was a runner-up for Armoza Formats’ Formagination Pitch Competition at Realscreen West (2019).

Leah is the director and executive producer of Out Of Frame, an award-winning edutainment web series for kids. She is also the director and co-creator of Revolution 10, for which the interactive screenplay was an official selection in the 2017 Beverly Hills Film Festival Screenplay Competition.

Leah is the director of the short film, Dinner With Bernice, which was an official selection in the 2018 Toronto Shorts International Film Festival. As a director and editor, Leah has also worked on unscripted YouTube digital series and music videos that have earned millions of views.

Leah is an active member of the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television and serves on the board of directors for Web Series Canada. She also produced and edited the virtual awards show for T.O. Webfest 2020.
